Of the many car ownership costs in Singapore, the cost of parking probably varies the most.
How much does parking cost in Singapore? Well it really depends.
Firstly, it depends on where you are staying. If you are staying in landed property, there is zero parking costs involved. If you are stay in a condo/private apartment, probably no parking costs incurred too (if you keep within the limits of the number of cars).
Season parking in HDB costs between $80-$110 for the 1st car and the cost depends on the type of car park (sheltered, open air, etc). 2nd car will be more.
Then there is season parking costs too if you drive to work. This depends on your workplace and whether parking is charged. E.g. it is not unheard of for season parking in CBD to cost above $200.
Then there are all the additional parking fees when you go out to the malls or stop by the hawker centre for a quick bite. As a gauge, parking in malls can easily cost $3-$5 per parking. Hawkers are usually located near public parking spaces and that will cost you 2 cents per minute.
