Amazon is celebrating Prime members with a multitude of deals during Prime Day. The event will offer more deals than ever before, with new deals dropping every 30 minutes during select periods. The deals cover various categories such as beauty, fashion, electronics, toys, and more. Some notable deals include savings on products from Betty Buzz by Blake Lively, D’Amelio Footwear, Dyson, Barbiecore items, and celebrity favorites like KNOW Beauty by Vanessa Hudgens and Chamberlain Coffee by Emma Chamberlain.

Prime members can also shop for summer essentials exclusive to Amazon, including select kids’ bathing suits from Simple Joys by Carter’s and men’s tech shorts from Amazon Essentials starting at $10. Additionally, there will be significant discounts on select items from Sun Bum, Bose, and essie.

Furthermore, there will be early deals for back-to-school and college items, such as up to 60% off Gap apparel, up to 75% off select Amazon devices, and discounts on products from brands like Frigidaire, Crayola, and Champion.

Prime Day starts on July 11 at 3 a.m. EDT and lasts for 48 hours. Prime members can preview a selection of deals and save them to their watchlists. They can also filter their searches to discover products from small businesses using the Small Business Search filter. Prime members can access millions of deals across various categories, including exclusive bundles and items from top brands like Dyson, Theragun, and Frigidaire.

Apart from shopping on Amazon, Prime members can explore additional ways to shop and earn more. They can use the Buy with Prime feature to shop deals on participating brands' websites with the same benefits as shopping on Amazon. They can also support small businesses and find Climate Pledge Friendly deals. Amazon provides a personalized shopping experience with categories based on customers' interests, and there are also exclusive deals from celebrities and influencers. Prime members with Prime Visa cards can earn cashback rewards on Prime Day and throughout the year.

June 2023 Passive Income

Wanted to compile passive income for the quarter but realised it might be difficult so doing for June 2023 instead.

Rough estimate only as I am rounding  and might have missed some other items. 

I was surprised at DBS Multiplier Account since I set it up a few years back and haven't really been paying attention to it. I am also not making any effort to keep track of the categories that I need to fulfill in order to get the highest interest rates. Besides, the amount I have within is not significant.

The reason I am recording this down is because I realised that I have gotten a little haphazard in my finances and goals with little record-keeping and not even being certain whether I will be meeting my retirement goals. Time to record it more diligently so that I have a good record of my passive income and when I might possibly retire. :)

To obtain a $100  monthly passive income, I probably need $24,000 invested in an instrument that gives 5% yield. That means that $240,000 will yield $1000 per month and $2.4million (!!!) will yield a healthy $10,000 per month.

Looking back at my old goals, I was probably too naive that my expenses will remain the same. The family has grown and the cost of living has also gone up significantly. So whatever passive income goals that I have set now appears to have shifted even further away. But I was inspired afterbreading ASSI blog recently and realised that he is still blogging and has retired. Considering that we started blogging around the same time, it means he has stuck to his plans while I have failed in mine.
